I'm extremely versatile. Enjoy intelligent conversation. Mostly just absorbing the very essence of life. I graduated from Washington State University with a bachelor's degree in Hotel Management. My career and education are very important to me and are second only to my family. I was born and raised on the island of maui. Ever since junior high my two main interests has been music and boxing. Struggling with the realization:

Its like I was someone else, and I started to become this person, not so gradually at about 18 months of age.

My very first memory, standing in a room full of cribs. There is gray-ish wallpaper with a small pattern. A big window at the end of the room. Outside, a train going by on a raised, masonry embankment. I could draw the pattern of the blocks in the embankment. They remind me of the stonework of Cuzco. I'm afraid.

Next, I'm 4 or 5, standing in a room watching my father screaming and slapping Matthew. He's still in diapers. I'm afraid.

After that my memory is full time. I really remember almost everything. The feel, the taste, the smell. And so, so often, the fear.

Who was that person? The one that would remember all the rest. the one who didn't feel all that fear. And hasn't lived this life.

I'm a man living in Maui, I work alot so i don't get to really go out as much as I would like to so i figure the internet would be the place to go.
I cook for a living and write in my spare time and enjoy sitting out by my pool or walking around town for no good reason.
Living in my fortress and descending the mountain only to work and then it's back to my castle.
It's worth it because it's Maui and it's beautiful all the time, it might not be easy but it sure looks good.

Okay, I am going to try something new. I am simply going to write whatever it is that I think can sum me up. If you do not like it, then you're the one missing out, not me.

I generally like people but am very picky in choosing close friends and who I will date. I have no problem approaching people and saying 'hey' because I figure, if they're uninterested, I didn't know them before and there is no loss or harm done. I am on this thing because I recently moved to Hawaii and know very few people and have not had much time to go out. It is difficult to get from where I am to town on the bus since the easiest route stops at 7pm. I like to do just about anything a few times, I get bored easily, and I am constantly traveling. I honestly can say I do not watch much TV... I do watch LOST on Tuesday at a friend's every week. I do not have a TV. I am a college grad, I will likely never use that degree and I am beginning to be okay with that since I always seem to luck into things anyway. I feel as though whatever is going to happen will and I used to stress myself out trying to be perfect for others when in reality, I could not care less.

It's time to change my self summary! As an ever changing person, I suppose that I should change this to keep it up to date.

Another update as another section of life rolls past. This time, I'd like to use my summary to focus on one particular aspect of myself - direction. I'd like to think I've stayed pretty consistent over time. A large part of that is due to my constant state of planning and moving towards things I want to accomplish in the future, while at the same time making sure I keep loved ones in the picture as much as possible. Like many, I want to have a successful professional life, but my understanding of keeping that professional life healthy is having an equally successful personal life. Pursuing higher education should mean an opening up of worlds, but not necessarily at the expense of closing off the one where we can be normal people.

That's only one facet, but there's always a way to know more.
